Sticker Fitting Guide

(Click here for our wheelie bin sticker fitting guide)

STEP 1

Step1

Your sticker is made up of 3 parts:

1. Top Layer – This is the application tape.

2. Middle Layer – This is your vinyl sticker.

3. Bottom Layer – This is the backing paper, usually blue or white in colour.

STEP 2

Step2

Place your sticker on a flat surface and rub firmly with a squeegee or credit card to ensure the sticker is fully bonded to the application tape, this will help with application later.

STEP 3

Step3

Position your sticker using masking tape across the top edge of your sticker, this will act as a hinge and again will help with application later.

STEP 4

Step4

Flip your sticker over using the masking tape as a hinge. Holding the sticker flat to the surface, carefully remove the backing paper leaving the vinyl still attached to the application tape.

STEP 5

Step5

Flip the application tape back over but do not stick it to the surface yet. Hold the bottom edge slightly off the surface and firmly rub over the application tape from the masking tape edge down using horizontal strokes.

STEP 6

Step6

Now the vinyl has been stuck to the surface, carefully pull the corner of the application tape away holding it flat to the surface. Be careful not to pull any vinyl back off the surface.

STEP 7

Step7

Check the sticker for any air bubbles, you can push them out with your finger if required.

Now stand back and admire your handywork!
